Fairy Fieldtrip 2025!

You’re invited to join us for our annual get-away to do an organized Blue Ghost Fairy Experience with Terra Nova, camp or stay in their lodging, swim, kayak/canoe at the lake, visit the gardens, potluck with a stunning view, music by the fire, and/or connect with our community members.

You’re also welcome to join Mushroom Master, Jared for a Guided Mushroom Foraging Experience on Saturday morning from 9-11am. Suggested donation for this is $30, though no one is turned away for the lack of funds.

Picnic/potluck for evening meal at 5:30pm on Saturday. Vegan/vegetarian preferred please!

WHEN: Saturday, May 24, 2024. Fairy Tour starts at 7:30pm

A few of us will most likely be camping on both Friday and Saturday nights, arriving on Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon. Check out is noon, so you’ll have to be packed up by then whether camping or staying in their indoor accommodations.

WHERE: Terra Nova, Center of the Brigade of Light. 22 Terra Nova Ln, Cedar Mountain, NC 28718 (Check in at The Chapel)

Meet at the Lighthouse Chapel for the Fairy Tour. Or come before and find us gathering on the lawn between the road and the lake.

COST/ACCOMODATIONS: Fairy Tour is $33 ($37.05 with fees) if you are not staying the night (camping or in Harmony Cottage); Fairy Tour is $15 if you are.

If you’re not staying the night, get your Fairy Tour ticket on Eventbrite. You can also pay with cash upon arrival (but you must contact Randi or Chrys with Terra Nova to reserve a space. Mention “Randi’s Group”) More details about the tour on their website.

If you’d like to enjoy the grounds during the day and you are not staying the night, a day pass is $10.

(Day pass is included with camping and lodging. You can also register/pay with cash at Terra Nova)

It’s $25/tent per night to camp. If you would like to share a tent, it’s a one-time payment of $5 per extra person(s) in the tent. Bathhouse with hot showers available for campers a short walk from the camping site. Book with Randi or Terra Nova directly if you miss the deadline. Limited to 15 tents.

Harmony Cottage is available for indoor accommodations, and has a kitchen and bathroom to share. It’s currently undergoing renovations, so we’ll update this info as we have more details on available spaces and cost.
