5 Diaphragms of the Body: The Respiratory Diaphragm (ONLINE ONLY)

$15Join us for a special Asana Practice series: “Five Diaphragms of the Body”, where we explore the five platforms or horizontal planes within our physical structure. We also tune into the corresponding subtle body benefits of bringing focus and energy to these levels (largely through muscular activations called the bandhas).
Next, we focus on the more obvious diaphragm–the respiratory diaphragm! This center level engages/creates not only breath, but strength and empowerment. Energetically it supports our sense of self and our purpose in the world. The uddiyana bandha here launches life force to the heart and higher chakras–creating a dynamic bridge from physical reality to non-physical or spiritual realms.
We will be bringing awareness of these diaphragms and bandhas over the next couple weeks in Asana Practice classes!
