Yoga Classes

Randi was trained in Yoga Inbound and Viniyoga styles of practice. What does that mean?? A blend of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara flavors. We often do flow-like sequences, with an emphasis on alignment. Viniyoga offers a breath-centric and “Yoga for Longevity” focus–with poses that prioritize protecting and maintaining precious stability, ease and grace–in balance, strength, and flexibility.

Our yoga classes are infused with inspirations from various healing arts, such as astrology, reiki, sacred geometry, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and channeled practices from benevolent star beings such as The Hathors, Pleiadians, and Arcturians.

Asana Practice

Breath-centric postures and sequences designed to honor the perfect balance of yin & yang, or as the Ashtangis say “sthira sukham asanam” – resolutely abiding in good space. The practice is strengthening, aligned, and with a good dose of surrender to the majesty of the body, mind & Spirit!

We often study anatomy and the internal and energetic arts of yoga, such as bandhas (energy locks), chakras, nadis (meridians), sacred geometry, the Five Elements (including space/ether), and Hindu deities and mythology.

Typically on Wednesdays, we practice “Yoga for Longevity.” This extends the breath threshold capacity, mental focus, and leaves you with a feeling of growing and staying strong from the inside out.

An intermediate-level practice, though beginners are welcome and many modifications are offered.

This class meets in person on Mondays (see below) & via Zoom on Wednesdays from 9-10:15am EST. In-person classes available at Samasati in Weaverville, and/or in the summer months we meet in the Weaverville Nature park.

PROPS! Blocks, a strap, a skinny bolster and blankets for savasana are often helpful.

$12-20/class. Check out payment details and Event Calendar for specifics. Contact us for Zoom link!

We are all in pursuit of health and wellness especially as we age. I have practiced yoga with Randi since 2017. This year I am 71. It is fair to say that my yoga practice has required adjustments just as my lifestyle has made adaptations for my age.
Randi continues to teach us respect for the changes we are experiencing as we age.
Yoga for Longevity builds endurance, strengthens the subtle body, maps the flowing breath that supports the muscular contractions and bandhas and restores balance to our bodies.
Advanced yoga requires control of the breath. Building the breath is essential food for all the vital systems of the energy body.
I know I speak for those of us that attend class regularly, ‘we are strong, vital, healthy and rewarded with increased joy!’
Come join us for the fire and the fluidity that is Yoga for Longevity.

TESTIMONIAL

Randi’s classes have re-inspired my love for yoga. Even though I have been a long time yogini and a teacher myself, over the last years my practice had dried up and become stale, and my body stiff and uninspired. With Randi’s bountiful energy and love of all aspects of yoga, she has helped me rekindle my own passion for the practice. The way she creates community by helping everyone feel seen, held and acknowledged, and the way she tailors the practice to bring everyone into a deeper alignment with themselves and each other is masterful. Her classes have the perfect balance of dynamic and restorative poses and I love the way she weaves the yoga philosophy and awareness of the subtle body into the practice. The gentle way she guides us into savasana nourishes me on a deep level and I always leave the class feeling more aligned, integrated, relaxed, resourced and alive. Thank you Randi!

Restorative Yoga

Accessible to most–standing or rooted with the back to the ground–there are plenty of gentle opportunities to enter into that happy, body-melting love state we call “the yoga glow.” Using Earth energy to release, ground, and be cradled–you’ll enjoy a wonderful day and weekend ahead.

PROPS! If you have trouble getting up from a seated position on the ground, please have a yoga mat and folding chair if needed for practice–though any light, armless chair is fine. Blocks, rolled blankets, pillows, and/or bolsters will help.

This class meets on Zoom on Fridays from 9-10:15am EST. Special in-person series offered occasionally with crystal bowl and didgeridoo sound baths! Contact us if you’re interested in being on the waiting list for this series.

TESTIMONIAL

My goal as I age is to stay strong and capable of doing all I love to do in life. Randi’s Monday and Wednesday classes have been my best medicine to achieve this for the last 8 years!
Her Restorative yoga practice brings the balance of body, mind and Spirit all together for me on Fridays. It is a weekly reminder to Be rather than Do, to pause and appreciate who we are, inside our own body temple.
My Spirit thanks Randi for this yin yoga class and her ability to take us to places we’ve never been before in our minds! The power of yin!!!”

Communing with the Moon & Other Astrological Events

We follow the Moon’s cycle and honor her in both Meditation & Breathwork and yoga classes during the New Moon and Full Moon. We celebrate both solstices and equinoxes and sink deeply into seasonal shifts and themes. We also meditate, breathe, and move to special cosmic events, such as the Sun’s alignment to the Royal Stars, the Lionsgate Portal, etc.

These classes often included Light Alignment along with the traditional Asana Practice or Restorative Yoga.

Randi was trained in Evolutionary Astrology by former meditation student Christina Bache Hardy. Evolutionary Astrology has its roots in yoga tradition, as it stemmed from Sri Yukteswar, Yogananda’s guru! She also follows and is influenced by astrologers Pam Gregory and Tanaaz of Forever Conscious.
