SUMMARY:Shamanic Journey Circle: The Magic of PI
DESCRIPTION:Circles do not exist \nThis is the title of the drawing we are featuring by Jason Padgett. It is 720 right triangles rotating at 1/2 degree from each other. He argues that in Nature there are no circles\, but a series of triangles–lines\, angles–that create the illusion of a perfect circle. \nFrom Jason in reference to his drawing: “What’s so amazing about Pi is that everything in the universe breaks down into it…There is no curve but as you can see the more triangles that are squeezed into the perimeter the more it APPEARS to be a circle or curve. Just like when you look at a mountain and think\, that is not a curve or circle\, but if you zoom out into outer space and look at the earth it LOOKS like a perfect sphere. But when you’re on the earth it looks completely different. In other words\, what is a circle is relative. The mountain is not a circle when you’re looking at it one the earth\, but it looks like a circle (or part of one) from outer space. This is one of the many beautiful illusions of relativity.” \nIn these journeys\, we will honor the Divine Order of Pi as it is opposed by Divine Chaos. Or perhaps\, like these lines that become circles\, find the Divine Order WITHIN Divine Chaos! \nWhat seems uncontrollable\, random\, and unfamiliar in your life? How can this MAGIC OF PI help you understand the illusions working within your life for connection\, growth\, and SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE? \n**Please bring a pie or slice of pie to share after the journeys if it’s easy!** \nExploring our consciousness and meeting our guides in the lower world\, upper world\, and middle worlds. Traveling in the tradition of Core Shamanism via drum beat. \nBring a blanket and eye pillow for journeying\, a journal to capture insights\, and a water bottle. They are especially inspiring to me because they emerge without fear or “danger” of frost or unpredictable late Winter/early Spring freezing precipitation. \nIn yoga\, we call the energy that the inhale gives us bṛṃhaṇa.  \nWe’ll begin this  special journey with a bit of breathwork to honor the bursting creativity of Spring and her element of Air/Wind.
